About John
John Spudich is an artist based in Berkeley, California. He typically paints in acrylics, inspired by mythology and the natural world, and tends towards larger canvases. One of his central aims as a painter is to evoke a complex mood where the subject(s) possess inner conflict but the total representation is peaceful and harmonious. Another is to hide and to reveal in a balanced way that whispers and is bold.
