Trees and Forest Gallery
Oak, cypress, olive, rooted pine. Standing in the fecund darkness in the gaze of a white-faced owl. Rustling in the lights of dawn, raiment awakened in a mystical crown. In the gloaming, turned by the salt winds, aching with an ocean crying, a thatch of fingers cup the beaten clouds. The long bark yearns in wild lines of color, of running life, of knot and living scar. These trees carry with the colors of their body the story of the immensity of being. - JS
Peacocks Gallery
In antiquity, an image of rebirth, in early Christianity, a symbol of the Resurrection. In India, the bird of the nation, and in Hinduism, an emblem of Krishna’s divine protection. For the Romans an exemplar of maternal royal power, after the Greeks who connected this mythic creature to Hera, her beauty, pride, and wisdom. The peacock, with his gorgeous blue throat and fanning tail of spangled ornament, inspires a connection to the divine and the numinous. I see feathers bejeweled with his rarified visions and carried,
carefully folded, closed and dreaming inward, until the moment of the grand reveal. I see the artist.- JS

Thriving Life Gallery
Untamed exaltation, the clamor of an ecosystem. Animals chitter in the leaves, crawl amongst the roots, prowl in the craze of ecstatic light and shadow striking from the canopy. In this lush and verdant circuit, a green dialectic of love and death. Here are the landscapes of thriving life. - JS
